Welcome to Rhythm. I am so happy you are here. I wanted to start this blog section off with a little "about me". I want you to feel comfortable and confident with your care provider and that really begins by making a connection. I know through care we get to know eachother and I have the amazing privilege of learning about your families and day to day. So am I taking this opportunity to give you some quick information about myself so you can feel comfortable from the moment you meet me in person.

I grew up in the Auburn area and went to school in Colfax and Auburn. I chose not to play school sports but instead my family rode dirtbikes, wakeboarded, snowboarded and camped often. I left the area after high school for school in San Luis Obispo and was there for 3/4 years before moving to Ventura. Happily, I moved closer to home when I started graduate school at Life Chiropractic College West in the Bay Area.

I met my husband in high school, we didnt start dating until 21 but have been together ever since and happily married for 5 years. He is also a Chiropractor! We were lucky enough to go through school together, learn from each other and learn together. We did go down seperate technique paths in Chiropractic school which gave us the unique opportunity to teach eachother new skills. He was interested in sports and extremities and other techniques. Ultimatley, I knew going in to Chriopractic school that I wanted to specialize in pediatrics and pregnancy. I started down that journey early on and joined all of the extra clubs and extracurriculars that I could handle. Soon I was co-running the Pediatrics club on campus and teaching students about Webster, Pediatric Adjusting, Hormones, Holistic home products and my favorite topic - birth control. I joined the International Pediatrics Association and continue to learn so much from them.

After we graduated Chiropractic school we both did our "residency" at my aunt's practice in San Francisco, More Mojo. She was lucky enought to semi-retire to Mexico and we took over the practice and have been successfully running it for 3 years now. It is high volume, pediatric and prenatal office which we love and adore.

We have a precious 2 1/2 year old daughter, Zahmora Myela. She has been such an amazing blessing and has taught us so much about ourselves and life. My pregnancy with her was life changing. I was able to live out so much of what I have learned and apply that to myself. I had an amazing home birth in a water tub and was able to have the least amount of interruptions possible in my pregnancy. I had a holist midwife who taught me so much about nutrition in pregnancy and really advocated for me and my beliefs during my pregnancy. Going through this process really rocked my world and interest in sharing home birth and ways to have a holistic pregnancy with the world - so more to come on this later!

My husband and I actually started Rhythm Chiropractic in 2020! We loved the name because there are so many rhythms in life. Endocrine rhythms, circadian rhythm, biological rhythms, our heart beat itself is a rhythm, contractions in birth are a rhythm. The name just really stood out and resonated with us on so many levels. After finding out I was pregnant and having another office to run, I really wanted to lean in to my pregnancy and parenthood journey. So we pushed off opening in 2020 for another time. A few years later and I was eager to bring my knowledge to the Auburn community. I am so passionate about what I do and I cannot wait to share that knowlede with you! I had prayed and prayed for a space. After continusly getting shut down by local buisness owners renting to friends or family, I had given the situation to God. I was activley trying to work on myself and get myself really healthy (ie: remove mercury fillings, heavy metal detox, etc.) because I knew I wanted our family to grow and I wanted to do all of these things before I thought about pregnancy again. That is where I met Courtney, the owner of The Sweetest Little Life. After hearing her story and learning she was moving to a bigger space and renting one of the rooms out, I was thrilled to jump into this journey and make this dream a reality.

Other than that, we live in Colfax. We love to be outside and take every opportunity to ground and get natural vitamin d! We dirtbike, backpack, hike, fish, wake surf, camp at every opportunity, hunt most seasons, garden and spend so much time with my family. We have an Aussie, Huxley and a Mane Coon, Hunter.

If you have any questions for me, I would love hear them. I hope this tells you a bit about me. I cannot wait to meet you!
